There are many changes that are taking place throughout our district. We have a few new faces around our campus, and a few familar people in difference places.
You may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with health services? The services that we are providing in our clinic and throughout our district are also changing. For instance, this year we will be performing Spinal Screening on our 5th Grade Girls in the Fall. This is the results of the new state guidelines. https://www.dshs.texas.gov/spinal/default.shtm
The Immunizations that are required for the 2018-2019 School Year have changed slightly. The change does not impact our campus, but definitely effecting the other campuses in our district. If you are interested in seeing the new requirements, click on the link below. Immunization Requirements
We are trying to become more user friendly by providing all of our forms online for easy access.
August 2004 I began serving as the school nurse for the Little Cypress Intermediate School, then in August 2014 I also became the Director of Health Services for the LCM school district. I am thoroughly enjoying both of these positions. We have a fantastic Health Service Team in our district and a supportive administration. This allows us to do many things in our district that you may not see in other schools.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding health services, Stay and Play Recreational Area, our Community Resource Walk & Blood Drive, LCI's Salute to Our Veterans Program or Family STAAR Night, or our School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), please do not hesitate to contact me.
